Welcome to Polk County's online Financial Transparancy Report Information Center. In
these economic times, we feel all taxpayers deserve to know that their tax dollars are used wisely.
This section includes copies of check registers, utility summary, county budget and
annual financial reports. Information will be updated as available.

Public Information Act

Under Texas Law (Government Code, Chapter 552), the public has the right to access most county 
records. Polk County officials and departments are expected to promptly release information that is 
not confidential by law, unless an exception to disclose exists or an Attorney General's

To Submit a Public Information Request to Polk County

Your request must be a written request. It can be sent by mail, fax or in person to the appropriate 
county department. Include as much description and detail as possible to enable the county to 
accurately identify and locate the information being requested.
